Trying to catch up on some posts that never got submitted because I couldn't get my blog to work...it seems to be working now so I'm trying to get everything posted... I am totally excited...We Got some new pictures of Alyssa...still waiting on the translated updates but will share this picture for now... This is my daughter cheering us on to bring her home!!

We are heading to China!!

2 MORE DAYS... Its hard to believe...its happening...we are going to China... We are sooo very close to having all the money we need but are still a little short and are hoping that you can help...ok the reality is we are approximately $2900 short...please please consider sponsoring us and helping us bring Alyssa home!! Love is in the air & we are truly feeling it with all of the support we are getting with the announcement of our 2nd Little Princess... Over the next few months we are going to try desperately to come up with various fund raising efforts in order to make it possible to bring Alyssa home...so with that being said here is our 1st...

It's official...

It's official...We are EXCITED to announce that we have been matched with our 2nd Little Princess...Here is Elena proudly showing off her New Sister......

Please meet our future daughter...Alyssa Marie Yinni Davis...she is 5 years old...and waiting for her forever family - we are very excited and eager to be that family and we are soooo looking forward to bringing her home!! We are already in LOVE...

Our Story... Adoption has always been my desire since I was a little girl and I knew even before ever having kids and well before I was married that my plan was to always adopt...and I knew that my husband was a keeper when he agreed to my future plan... For anyone that knows me knows that I am all about my kids and I knew that while we were in China bringing home Elena that we would be back...I also knew that our 2nd daughter would have some connection to the 07 number... Right after we started the process to Adopt Elena I started to code everything that I did with Baby Girl O7...I thought for sure that Elena's adoption would have been completed and she would be home by 2007 but to our surprise a process that was taking 6 - 9 months when we first started slowly changed to a year and soon after that there was a total slow down - so much so that the process took us approx. 3 1/2 years from start to finish...so why does 07 have a meaning to me...well everything I did for the 1st few years still lead me to believe that our adopted daughter would be born in 2007 or matched in 2007 or something to do with 07...why not right - we started the process to adopt in Aug, 2005; logged in to China Feb 2006; Matched with Elena Dec 2008 and her family day was Feb 9th, 2009...and after 3 1/2 long years the 2007 or even just 07 numbers didn't happen...that could only mean one thing...that's because our 2nd daughter was still waiting for us in China... So when I found Alyssa on the Madison Adoption Site in that adorable Snow White Princess outfit born in Aug of 2007 - I knew instantly that she was meant to be part of our family!! We are so hoping to have her home as soon as possible!!
